"Until the great mass of the people shall be filled with the sense of responsibility for each other's welfare, social justice can never be attained"

- Helen Keller

We are group of eductation students at the University of Regina who are concerend about teaching for socially active students. Our goal is to create a lesson plan that fosters social issues in the classroom.

We aim to increase students' awareness of social issues that affect our world each and every day, while encouraging them to take a socially active role in society.

ABOUT US

Focusing on the grade five curriculum, we have created a lesson plan that integrates social justice, cross-curricular content, and technology. We have built our lesson plan around four key areas:

  • Broad Areas of Learning

  • Cross-Curricular Competencies

  • Saskatchewan Curriculum Outcomes and Indicators

  • Treaty Education Outcomes and Indicators
